  • Would give 0 stars if I could! Took my daughter to AllKids last night with a fever and rash. The reception area was empty when we arrived at 9:45pm (they close at 10). The receptionist didn't acknowledge us - she was 'busy' talking on her cell phone. I signed in, grabbed a clipboard and began filling out their intake documents. Ten minutes later the receptionist 'greeted' us by saying "I need your insurance and ID NOW if you want to be seen, we close in 5 minutes." Mind you, she had been on the phone up until this point, totally ignoring us. We also got to listen to a loud (clinic staff was in the back, but we could clearly hear their conversation), condescending recap from the clinic staff recounting their interaction with another patient. It was loud enough that even the clueless receptionist must have realized it was unprofessional. So she yells back to them "we have a patient in the waiting room." To which the NP yells back, "IT'S 10:00, WE'RE CLOSED." Really?! The receptionist then yelled back, "they got here like five minutes ago." Since shouting through the office seem to be the preferred method of communication, I informed them that I had in fact been there for 15 minutes, but both reception and clinic staff were too busy with personal matters to acknowledge our arrival. Needless to say, things didn't improve from there. The exam of my daughter lasted all of 45 seconds and the NP delegated explanation of the diagnosis and prescriptions to a nurse who could not answer even my most basic questions. "IS a fever normal with this diagnosis? What is antiseptic soap (the recommended product to use on my daughter's rash per their paperwork)?" Although the only late night options other than AllKids are significantly farther away from our home, I will NEVER return to this clinic. Do yourself a favor and don't subject yourselves to their unprofessional, subpar and clueless staff.
