| - What a great place!
When I started going here, so many of my friends said, "That's a nice gimmick, Irish guy opens a shop and sells beer." But it's so much more than that.
Sean, the owner, really is an Irishman...from "The Old Sod." He's funny, great to talk to in the chair, and most importantly, does a great job. He is clearly passionate about providing a great haircut at a reasonable price and making his shop a place you want to keep coming back to again and again. The cut he gives is very good, and he finishes-off the cut by cleaning up your sideburns and the back of your neck with hot lather and a straight razor...a great touch and, sadly, a lost art that most barbers don't do any more.
The pub on the other side of the shop is a great reason to keep coming back too! Draught pints and a trim? You can't go wrong with that.
Something I noticed after I was done...the chairs in the shop are very cool! They look like they're reclaimed and reconditioned barber chairs from 100 years ago. Very cool!
Sean has struck gold here using a very simple business model: Provide a superior product/service at a reasonable price, and repeat.
Bravo!
