| - I have been riding an R2.5 Cervelo frame for the past 10 years, and biked across the U.S. on it in 2007. It was a great ride, but, unfortunately, I heard a creaking as I stood out of the saddle recently while climbing the hills around my home in Santa Rosa. My first trip to the bike shop (Echelon) failed to reveal the source, but my second visit revealed that the carbon frame was failing near the bottom bracket. No problem. With the receipt and no hassle whatsoever, Cervelo replaced the frame QUICKLY. The representative on the phone apologized that they had no R3 frame in stock, the frame that would logically replace the defunct R2.5, so now I'm decked out on an R5, which is a fantastic ride, and at no cost! I am grateful that Cervelo is a stand-up company which backs its products 110% and produces top notch products! I've ridden all the competitors, but come back each time to Cervelo.
