  • Today was the second time I have been here. Our first experience was great. Today's experience ensured that I will never be back. About halfway through the pedicure, my nail stylist walked away, and a few minutes later the thin blonde manager came back to my station. I was informed, (rather loudly) that because of a bit of nail fungus under one toenail that I was a liability to the establishment, and that continuing the pedicure would be a violation of the State Health codes. This despite the fact that they were doing a pedicure for my boyfriend in the seat next to me, who also has a fungal infection under several toenails, and they had no problem serving him. The manager condescendingly offered 10% off of my manicure if I still wished to have that done. When I declined to have any more work done by them, I was told to depart the premises. I have had maybe 40 pedicures at 10-15 salons in the last few years, and NEVER have I been treated so poorly by an establishment. I would understand if the issue was cross contamination in the polish bottle, and being required to purchase the bottle when they were done with my pedicure, (which I have never been asked to do, but would have been willing to do) but to be loudly humiliated and asked to leave the establishment was absolutely uncalled for - unless they do not sterilize their tools between appointments, which would be far more troubling. To top matters off, as I was waiting outside for my boyfriend to pay for his pedicure and join me in the car, another nail tech came out to ask me what happened. After inspecting my foot, he said that the whole situation was completely uncalled for, and that 90% of people having pedicures have a more pronounced case of nail fungus than my "affliction." If Nail Society does not want my business, I am happy to take it elsewhere. Beware if you want a pedicure and have any kind of issue. If you have a corn, a blister, or a callus - they may have to call the hazmat team, or they may just humiliate you in front of other customers and then refuse you service.
