| - During my search for a new family car I found AutoNation Toyota Tempe. I own a Toyota Tacoma, so I figured a Toyota Camry made sense.
They listed three cars I was interested in. I called the office, verified the cars were available, the price was great, off I go.
I am greeted by a sales person, almost a caricature of the used car salesman. I show him the print out of the three cars. After a fifteen minute search, the guy gives me the "I haven't worked for the last few days, not sure if they are here" speech. Ten more minutes later he comes up with, "they must have sold these."
I find it very impressive that you could sell three cars that I confirmed in stock twenty minutes ago. That is some serious car selling on a Thursday afternoon.
With that being said, he was interested in selling me a new Camry. Or even cars that were five to ten thousand more than the cars advertised. I mean why not, better get them while they are still here!
I left, bought a Nissan Altima elsewhere, never looked back.
Well its car buying time again for my fourth car, guess who's not going through the "bait-and-switch" again.
