  • I'd give zero stars if I could. I was on the freeway today and had to pull over because my car was making an awful noise. I was freaking out because I just got an oil change at Big O yesterday and all I could imagine was that they did something to my car. I called my boyfriend and he came to look at my car and we couldn't figure out what was wrong. The noise stopped so I told him to go back home and I got back on the freeway. Literally 2 minutes later it started again. So I called him to come back. After inspecting it again he notices my skid plate was missing clips and when I was driving it was causing it to drag on the ground. That was the scary noise I kept hearing. He drove my car back home to fix it and while he was under my car fixing the skid plate he kept noticing oil all over the place. Turns out the drain plug wasn't tightened. So not only were my clips for the skid plate broken off but I've lost a quart of oil since my oil change YESTERDAY. Guess it's a good thing the skid plate was dragging otherwise I could have lost all my oil while driving. He had to zip tie my skid plate back on so we could take it back to Big O. We get there and tell the manager what happened. He said they'd fix the problem and offered us a free oil change for next time and we decided that'd be okay. After waiting about 30 minutes they finally took a look at it. THEN they call My boyfriend back and tell him there's nothing wrong with it and basically said we're making it up. MY GARAGE IS COVERED IN OIL. My boyfriend has worked on cars his entire life and knows what he's talking about. He schooled them on exactly what happened and what's wrong with it. After the staff was so incompetent my boyfriend went up to the manager and told him we won't be returning. We don't want a free oil change next time. We want a full refund. The manager seemed shocked by this. Why would I want to come back and let you touch my car after you made such a bad mistake? We had to cancel our plans today to sit here for their mistake. What if we hadn't noticed this? My motor would have been destroyed! My boyfriend has been coming here for years without any problems which is the only reason I even came here. I myself work in customer service and when you're wrong, you're wrong. End of story. You don't argue with the customer and tell them they are wrong. We had things to do today and making up stories to sit at Big O wasn't one of them. I'm extremely disappointed with the service here and their condescending attitude. We will NOT be returning and I urge the rest of you to think twice before coming here for an oil change!
