  • Had I not been given a company car years ago when I was living and working in Windsor, ON, I likely would have never explored the world of satellite radio. I had my shows that I enjoyed on the radio and realistically on longer drives the radio ends up being background noise to keep you company. However, once I had Sirius I was hooked. Starting my day with Howard Stern for the longest time was a great way get to work. Then throughout the day I could move from genre to genre, station to station with as the mood struck me. Easily my most listened to stations are Classic Vinyl, Pearl Jam Radio, Altnation, and Lithium. But with so many options there is something for everyone. It does behave much like a radio, so there is no choice in the songs they play which for a service you pay for it might be a feature worth investing in. MySiriusXM allows you to essentially bookmark your fave artists or specific songs when their on the radio and then you're notified when they are coming up on another station. In addition if you want to go back and re-listen to a song you can click repeat or rewind a station for as long as you've been listening to the channel - that's all though. What sucks is if you change channels or come on at the end of a song you want to hear you can't rewind backwards. Customer service has been OK from my perspective, I don't need them for much other than swapping around my accounts when I moved from car to car. I've had a lot of issues with the mobile app and the internet streaming radio, 9/10 times it seems to not recognize my user name or password for my account. Howard Stern isn't free of commercials (in fact I would say there are just as many commercial spots if not more... and LONGER) when you're listening to his channels. So don't by into the commercial free radio bit. Overall it's a "nice to have" but I don't mind the radio, so if I ever need to make a purchase decision SXM will be the first to go, $20/mo is ok but to only have access for short car rides now, i don't know if it's worth it
