  • Very disappointed in the direction La Quinta Inn seems to be going. I have used them frequently over the years as they are pet friendly. However, after paying $132.00 for 2 people (not including taxes) and 2 double beds at this Mesa location (and that was with a Triple AAA discount) and finding out there was NO fridge, NO microwave, and this was the clincher - the tub is a new kind that is so shallow you cannot completely submerge yourself underwater in it! WTF? I booked a staycation so I could specifically soak my aching bones after a very physical project. I couldn't believe the tub they are trying to pass off as a normal bath tub. You can only half submerge yourself in it (so basically your lower half can be warm and the upper half is exposed to the cold air). Oh, and there is some kind of weird sound reverberating through the walls every 5 minutes or so, which we finally figured out are toilets flushing. This is the last time I will be staying at a La Quinta as I don't want to have to call each time to verify they have a normal tub. Sheeesh!
