This hotel offers the best things I was looking for in a hotel. A suite with separate room and a pull-out bed for the kids. Downtown location close to metro/subway stations, public transportation, and restaurants. A reasonable price. Roomy. Clean. Firm mattress, my back did not complain like it usually does when I sleep on squishy mattress. A refrigerator. Other hotels I looked into were much more expensive and offered less of what I wanted.
There is a whirlpool on the top 22nd floor. It has a nice view to the downtown streets and buildings, but my kids would have preferred a real swimming pool.
Parking is extra. I wished it wasn't $25/night, but I guess I kind of expected the fee since we're in a big city where parking spaces are sparse. We only rented a car for two days for the trip to Niagra Falls. The rest of the time we spent in Toronto, we took subways, buses, and street cars. You can pretty much catch any public transportation from this location.
On the last night, we ordered room service. My husband had the Wild Lake Erie White Fish and I got the Shrimp and Scallops Risotto. I thought my risotto was rightly seasoned and spiced. The seafood was decent. My husband cleaned his plate up, so I took it that he liked his too.
