  • The first time we took our Shi tau to Valerie's paw spa we were very impressed with the grooming. However, when we brought him back, we were totally shocked. Our pet was butchered. They complied with my request for a number 7 for the body but instead of grooming his fluffy ears and tail, they had cut them completely off. If he had perky ears, he would fit the image of a French bulldog. Their excuse was that his ears and tail were matted. Since I had just brushed him, I knew his ears and tail were not matted. I think they sent him in the back with a "want to be groomer" that just did a number 7 all over. They didn't bring him out until after I paid because they knew I would be upset and I was. They kept to their story and didn't even offer a credit. Instead, I was told it would grow back. I wanted to tell them that I would love to cut their hair and not to be upset as it would grow back. Never again.
