DirecTV is the worst so far as their business model. They are a dying business in a dying industry. I came to them several years ago after a competitor became inflexible toward long-term customers. I'm seeing the same behavior now with this company. Here's the gripe. You order their device by renting equipment that they own. You need it functioning for them to supply you the service. Should the equipment fail, they expect YOU to pay them to repair it on top of the fee for using it. Can you imagine renting a car and having to pay to repair it when it breaks down? It's unusable until it's fixed. How about paying for an electrician to fix a problem in a house you rent? Not happening. So I mention this to them and they repeat my choices. I can either pay to fix their property or it won't serve any purpose. Getting ready to send it back. The competition can be here the next day at a lower price.
