Having travelled far-and-wide in recent years, it's somehow comforting to know that upon returning back to the town of my adolescence, this comforting hallmark of those years always awaits.
Still some of the best ice cream I've had. Maybe that's more nostalgia, since they're not as far out as things like durian ice cream.
But they have grown & improved over the years, experimenting with more flavours, such as chevre & honey, lavender & toffee.
In addition, many ingredients are sourced locally--certain flavours have a little placard indicating where it's from/how far away. You know, kinda like Whole Foods and probably reflecting the omnipresent localvore craze sweeping the west & east coasts--so it's nice to see a bit of that back here in the heartland.
