| - I found this place via a Google search. I've been seeing my usual groomer for a few years now, but she was booked up for the next couple weeks. First time here. You enter a comic book shop and then the owner calls for the groomer by telephone, who is located in the basement. I was asked to fill out a form with my contact information, then four tick boxes -- one of which asked for permission to use a muzzle if there are any behavioural issues. All boxes were checked off. Two hours later, I come back and dog looks nicely groomed. The groomer, who appears to be named Chelsey, according to the Website (she never made an introduction) then tells me she's tacking on a $10 "behavioural fee" to the total, because my shih-poo nipped at her during nail clipping.
I asked if she used a muzzle, as I had given permission on the sheet, and she said she tried to put it on. Nowhere on the sheet I filled out was there a disclaimer about a $10 "behavioural fee." Would have liked to have seen security footage if possible to prove that claim. I paid the fee -- $62 total, including the full groom. My dog has no problem with the usual groomer but likely because this was a new experience, she was a bit nervous. There was nothing specifying the policy on the Website either. To charge such a fee, especially without showing proof, I felt was in bad taste. Won't be coming back here.
