  • We pretty much stay in only Hamptons, and this was one of the best. It is only 13 months old at the time of this review. Positives: Reasonable rate about $10-15 less than the average Hampton, friendly staff, excellent breakfast, strong AC with clear controls, very clean room, clean duvet covers and sheets, comfortable bed and pillows, mini-fridge, good pool, good wi-fi, lots of plugs and USB ports, well-lit with plenty of lamps, little noise from outside the room. Negatives: Not the fault of Hampton, but those going to Kennywood (10 miles away) may be surprised that the drive time to get there is 30 minutes. Also, the new location confused my just updated GPS. We could see the hotel, but our GPS couldn't get us there and we had to call to ask for directions. (They are aware of this problem.) Ineffective silent fan left steam on the mirrors well after shower was through, bathroom sliding door does not lock, no safe, tub drained slowly, no whirlpool near the swimming pool.
