The service here is absolutely horrible. Imagine 30+ guys in blue shirts walking around playing with their iPads and acting like you're annoying them when you ask a question or express interest in buying something. I had to try flagging down three workers, none of whom were helping customers, before one actually talked to me, and he had an attitude like I was less important than whatever he was doing on his iPad. I had already waited a week to get a Genius Bar appointment because this is the only downtown Apple Store location in all of Toronto, and I wasn't exactly happy to wait longer for the store workers to do their jobs.
The Genius Bar appointment went well, which is the only reason I'm giving this store two stars, but it was back to the same crappy service when I decided to buy an iPhone cable on the way out. I spent five minutes finding someone to pay for my purchase, and instead of letting me swipe my credit card, he talked me through the long process of setting up payment on my iPhone. Here's the thing - I'm totally into mobile payments, but I wanted to use a different credit card than the one tied to my phone, and he wasn't into hearing about this. Not to mention my phone was dying and I wanted to save juice. Also: why does it even matter? Let the customer pay however they want to.
This Apple Store really needs better management and an attitude change among its employees.
