Alright, let me start this review with a warning that I am a bit of an ice cream snob. Living in Columbus with Jeni's down the street and visiting Cleveland, demanding I have Mitchell's (almost) every day I'm there...it's hard not to be. Now that we have that out of the way, I will continue with my thoughts about East Coast Custard!
I've driven by this place quite a few times on my trips to Cleveland and it's been on my list of "to go" places. I'm always looking for a new ice cream/froyo place! When my parents tried it on the way from the airport and told me they wanted to take me there, I wasn't going to argue.
Their two flavors the day I went were something like Elvis (banana and peanut butter) and java chip. Although the banana/peanut butter was pretty tasty, I went with the java chip. It was very refreshing on the hot day that it was. The texture was smooth and creamy, and there were huge chunks of chocolate in it. Don't get me wrong, it was pretty good...but I'm not sure I would "demand" to have it when I go to Cleveland. I'd like to give it another try though and certainly wouldn't turn it down if I was in the area!
