We were craving some dim sum, so we came to the only dim sum joint that I know in Pittsburgh.
When we got here at 1:30pm on Saturday, the place only had a few patrons. We were seated but it took awhile for our waitress to take our order. When the food finally arrived, it wasn't very good. The spring rolls were typical Chinese take out vegetable spring rolls, not the good dim sum kind, and they were not cut up in halves. The Chinese crueller wrapped in the rice crepe, one of our favorite dim sum dishes was also made poorly, the rice crepe was wrapped twice over a huge crueller that was not cut up for our eating convenience either. The beef tripe was okay. The two other dishes we got - the radish cake and glutinous rice wrapped in leaves were good though.
The other thing was that our waitress probably only checked up on us once, and it was so difficult to wave her down for a glass of water or a refill. I wasn't sure why she was always running about as the restaurant was not packed and the place was well staffed with servers.
I would give this place another try if I was ordering out though, the menu had some pretty promising entrees at some reasonable prices.
