  • They say the true measure of a person isn't how they act in the good times but how well they behave in the bad. Alloy Wheel does the right thing, even when things do not go according to plan. September 2017, I curbed my front right wheel. Called Alloy Wheel, set an appointment, brought the car in, and was back on the road in less than 45 minutes. Which brings me to my first positive comment about AW - I've used them three times total in the past 5 years, and they've always been on time and efficient. Fast forward to December 2018. I noticed that the same wheel had become discolored -- almost as if the finish had peeled off. It had been a busy few months for me so it may have occurred earlier without me noticing it. I therefore dropped by AW without an appointment to see if they had any ideas what was going on. I was greeted by a pleasant receptionist who immediately asked for a specialist to come out. Mason was his name, and after only a few minutes he determined that this shouldn't be happening - it could be due to improper washing (on my part) or improper prep (on their part), but regardless they would fix it for me, free of charge. Which brings me to my second positive comment: throughout this entire process, from the receptionist to Mason, everyone was unfailingly pleasant. This is remarkable because the AVERAGE customer issue transaction goes more like this: 1) Customer comes in with an issue 2) Employee who doesn't handle negativity well acts unprofessionally 3) Everyone gets mad and puppies cry. Okay, maybe not everyone gets mad, but the puppies do suffer and that's not okay. Thankfully Alloy Wheel appears to be the exception to the rule: they are always professional and polite. January 2, 2018 I brought the car back in for its repair. Just like every other visit before it, they had me in and out quickly, and true to his word, Mason did not charge me for the fix. Which brings me to the end of this review - January 30, 2018, the wheel has held up perfectly after several washes, so I think it's safe to say the repair was successful. Things didn't go perfectly the first time, but they handled the issue resolution process well and made things right. AW has been good to me in the good times and the bad, which makes them great in my book.
