| - As my mom tends to say: "If you want to know what a restaurant's kitchen looks like, check out their bathrooms." I didn't check them out, but I did smell them from 20 feet down the corridor and didn't dare venture that way. Several other reviewers seem to have had bad experiences with that too.
As good as the food was (I'd give it a 3.5 star rating) that made me a bit squeamish during the meal, as did the fly that buzzed around the table for a while. I don't mind a little shabbiness, but cleanliness is a must in a restaurant.
The menu was long and confusing, but I was decently happy with my pineapple, pecan, chicken and vegetable dish (garnished with a leafless cilantro stalk). Service was curt, unsmiling and elusive, we didn't see the waitress between getting our food and asking for the check. My husband asked if the soda would be fountain soda, the waitress nodded, and two minutes later a *can* of coke appeared on our table.
Overall: The food was good, everything surrounding it regrettably not so much. I kind of want to watch Chef Gordon Ramsay come and eat here.
