| - When traveling through the area we noticed a sign for the Billy Graham Library and, initially, didn't think all that much about it. Finally, on one of the trips our curiosity got the best of us and we decided we should stop in and check it out. Surprise!! It is much more than a library or book store!
We started out touring the Graham Family Homeplace, the house Billy Graham was raised in that was actually moved to its current site from nearby. The staff there were happy to share insights about his life in that house. Then we went on (side note: beautiful grounds for walking) to the main building that contains a gift shop and book store called Ruth's Attic Bookstore, a restaurant called the Graham Brothers Dairy Bar, and a partially self-guided tour, A Journey of Faith, of key events in Billy Graham's Life.
After finishing the tour, we knew a lot more about Billy Graham, the person, and his beliefs and what he stood for. Moreover, we can appreciate why he is so respected by people all over the world. Definitely a worthwhile use of your time if you are in the area.
