  • It opens at 6am so that's when I got there and already packed but I was only in line for 20 minutes so I'm ok with that. The lady working the front desk has obviously been doing this for a while and said that to come back at 9am since they wouldn't be able to get a NEW donor in right away. I'm glad she told me! So I left and came back right before 9. There was a different lady who didn't know what she was doing, I basically waited around for 30 minutes to watch the video and answer the questionnaire. After that you go to a physical and the nurse was behind because of an allergic reaction to someone giving blood!! Soooo delayed and I go to get an iron check, at this point it's 10:45 and my iron is at 35 but should be at 38! Booo waited for no reason and I "thought" I ate enough iron the day before. So they said sorry you can come back tomorrow haha ok thanks! Now if you do donate they give $50 on reloadable card- so do not throw this away unless you're never going again! My friend was with me and she has been before and she got there at 6:30a and left at 8:15a. After your first time seems like a breeze, but man getting through the first one might not be worth it -_-
