  • So we (myself, husband, and 2&4 yr old) went here for a birthday party. I was SUPER excited knowing that my 4 year old would love it! Don't you just love when places make you walk through a gift shop? We actually had to wait in the gift shop for the tour to start. It was a shit show of kids crying for toys and losing interest in WHY we came. Frustrating to say the least. At the very least have a clear walkway to the exhibit vs waiting in an open store with toy bins set out. It literally makes me purposely NOT purchase anything. The dinosaurs are cool (within reach but you cannot touch anything) but it takes maybe 5 minutes to go through the entire exhibit and if your kids are excited they can skip through in 1 minute like mine did? Then you get to the back and to do the other activities (which was all my kids cared about) cost extra...for each one. They have face painting, Dino rides, Dino ride ons (like the animal ones at PV mall), bounce house, a sketching station, and 2 archaeology stations to find Dino's. We spent about 2 hours in there total and the bounce house took up a full hour and the Dino rides (and waiting) took up most of the other hour. The bouncy obstacle course was where we spent most of our time...which you can do at many other places for much less money but the kids had fun with their friends at least! The restaurant is cool and they do not offer gluten free options for parties so we were not able to partake in that part along with about 4 other families who also had to eat in advance to arrival due to food allergies. Can I just say that the majority of pizza places at least have ONE gluten free option! They need to step it up to stay in business. Tips: do not take kids under 2 unless they are very advanced physically(for the bounce house) and mentally for all other activities/exhibits. It's just a waste of your money. Do be prepared to pay extra for everything. Make sure your kids wear socks as they need them for the bounce house. We had a fun because all of our friends were there and my kids LOVED the bounce house and Dino carts. It makes me angry to know how much my friend paid for this birthday party as I know she was bummed about not even being able to choose a decent and affordable food option with the birthday package! I would not pay that amount of money to go here unless they make it more family friendly and stop charging an arm and a leg for a mediocre experience overall. If you have young kids I'd just wait til they were older and even then I personally think the prices are outrageous for what it is. I give 2 stars because the Dino's are cool looking. I feel bad leaving such a negative review as we were pumped for this place to open but I feel it is not very family friendly for younger kids and they are taking advantage of you not knowing what's behind the curtain.
