  • Hotel is in need of refurbishment.. bare bones bed, sunk in stained couch, no coffee table or any place to eat a meal. They are also not customer service oriented... I booked 6 nights at this hotel. On the day that I was supposed to check out, and leave for a 7 hour car ride back to California our air conditioner went out. We called a mechanic to repair and so needed to stay in the hotel room for a late checkout (it was 108 outside, and I have a 3 year old). The hotel wouldn't allow us a late check out (even on a Tuesday when they had hardly any other guests). They actually charged me half a day's rate for the extra three hours I was there (12pm checkout - I left at 3pm). I have stayed in a lot of nice places and have always been given early and late checkouts when I've asked... this really rubbed me the wrong way, especially after I spent nearly $1000 dollars on 6 nights of stay. On top of everything, they double charged me for the half day... just a little bit of extra salt in the wound I guess. Next time I'm back in Gilbert, I will be taking my business elsewhere.
