| - Ah, the Mon Incline... If you're a local, there are conversations you hear almost each time you ride. Well-meaning but misinformed 'tour guides' showing friends and family the view, people awfully confused about exactly how to pay, and joking about it plummeting to the ground are all pretty popular.
You can tell almost with perfect accuracy who's sight-seeing and who's a local. The sight-seers are plastered against the windows, vying for the lower car (if they know better) and generally excited to be there. The locals are the people who run and sit up on top, and they're either lost in headphone-land or discussing their work day with a fellow local... Some of us will feel extra friendly on days and tackle your questions about The Way of the Incline.
On game days, holidays, drinking holidays, and nice summer days, expect a 20-40 minute line. On those days, I personally just hike up Sycamore Street. It's faster.
