| - I would only recommend if there is a power outage and everything other food establishment is closed within a 30 mile radius.
I love diners. In fact, I'd say I've easily eaten at over a thousand diners in my time. They are great. You know what's not great? Going to a diner and not being able to order a grilled cheese. That's right, Tom'a stops making them at 10pm, I'm assuming because the grilled cheese specialist's shift ended. Oh, but I can order a club sandwich, which, oddly enough has the same components as a grilled cheese.
Other highlights of my visit:
Initial state of confusion everyone seems to have when you first enter as there is no sign instructing you to seat yourself. Wait, there is a chalkboard right in front, but it's blank.
Too few waitresses, who were outside smoking as much as possible. I can't say I blame them, working here seems stressful!
Bathrooms are prison like, and shared with the bar in the basement.
Hole in the ceiling. If there was a ladder I would've considered using it to escape.
The waitress rolled her eyes at me when I asked for a box. Look lady, I did that because I came to the same conclusion as you: I do not want to be here.
