| - I used to love shopping here because they have variety in their products and such pleasant employees (I should say, most of the time), but have you ever had a cashier lose her mind on you over handing her a pizza? Let me tell you, it's slightly less than pleasant. And by that I mean incredibly awkward and confusing.
If you've shopped here you know that Biaggio's pizza is inside and you can also just purchase a pizza ready to put in the oven to take home.
When I was checking out on my last grocery trip here, I handed the cashier one of these big pizzas, as it didn't fit on the belt, and somehow that infuriated her to no end. She started with an audible "ugh" and eye-rolling, then started telling me, with more attitude than I've heard from a grown adult in my life, that they didn't have a scanner for the pizza and I would just have to wait. I was like - 'ok, cool' - because it was no biggie to me at all. Then she reiterated, but even more pissed off this time, that I "would just have to wait" for her and at this point it was clear she was starting to lose it - I've literally done nothing but stand there, not rushing her, or saying anything to her at all, not even in a hurry whatsoever. If you've seen the wide-eyed emoji, that was pretty much my face through this whole interaction.
Somehow she scanned the pizza, and I honestly didn't know what she was talking about with regards to scanning a pizza to begin with, and moved on, until she had to ring up some wine.
Apparently that was a trigger for her, too. She asks me for my ID and starts pretty quickly demanding it, rudely, while I try to pull it out of my wallet at what I would describe as a regular to faster-than-average pace, and I then just asked her what her deal was and why she was being so rude, because clearly something was going on here and I was not in on it.
This is when she started raising her voice even more and saying over and over that she wasn't being rude (in an extremely rude way at that lol) and accusing me of 'going on and on' about the pizza - and I reminded her of the fact that: all I did was hand her a pizza, because: all I did was hand her a pizza. My bad, I guess.
I wish I would have just left the groceries there and gone to Smith's or Albertson's because dealing with this unexplainable angry girl was not worth it. We all have bad days, I can understand that, but you've gotta be able to keep that crazy under wraps when you're dealing with innocent bystanders.
And I think it's needless to say, I'll never shop here again.
Smith's might not have the deli or meat dept that Glazier's does but at least there you don't have to worry about dealing with this kind of random misdirected anger at the end of your workday.
