| - I've never had fresher sushi than at Penn Ave. The amount of fish in the roll was so plentiful. They have a hot and cold bar for take-out, which I browsed and found there to be some tempting soup options.
We sat at a high top table in the dining room and although it took our food awhile to come out, it was worth every second of the wait. My favorite was the shrimp tempura roll, which was warm to taste and I was told frying this roll this was the reason for the wait. I would have loved to try some of their sandwiches on the menu. My eyes followed every single plate that came out, making notes of what to try on my next trip here.
Some things that kept it 4 stars instead of 5: a waitress held food in one hand and sprayed a table to clean with the other, long wait for our food to come out, also I wasn't a fan of the décor (I don't think they have much of a theme), and lastly, I felt rushed while ordering, due to the ordering procedure. I wish they had the sushi on the board as well to make it a quicker ordering process, instead of looking at the taped menu on the counter. Nevertheless, the quality outweighs the quantity at Penn Ave. I hope to try out the downtown location, next.
