  • Great location but TERRIBLE management. The apartments are old and so are all of the appliances. Even though nothing changed in my apartment, they raised my rent after being a loyal resident and I renewed my lease. I really liked the location of the apartments, so I chose to stay for convenience but the second year there was worst. They seem to be renovating each apartment when a tenant moves out. Because of this, there seems to be regular construction going on and you will not get a warning about it either, or at least I did not. I had the apartment below me and above me get renovated without notice of construction and was being woken up before class for two weeks straight at one point. All of the dust from the construction was giving me horrible allergies. I had been living there for over a year when that occurred and wrote an email to the management stating that it was unacceptable to not inform their tenants of construction of the surrounding apartments, maybe even possibly offer a discounted month due to all of the noise from replacing carpets, countertops, etc. I did not receive an email back. After a week, I forwarded the same email and told them that I had not received a response. I got a voice message on my phone regarding my "noise complaint." I was complaining about the poor MANAGEMENT and poor customer/resident service, not just a random noise complaint. The gates are constantly broken. The walk-in gate at the front entrance was always unlocked every time I used it during the entire 2 years that I lived there and the walk-in gate at the exit only area was either unlocked, broken, or didn't open at all, even with your FOB. When you are paying a hefty rent for a one-bedroom apartment, you're looking for safety and security. The last month that I lived there, someone rang my doorbell around 2:30 in morning. The following night, around the same time, someone tried to open my door. The night following that, someone left beer cans all around my car in my parking spot. I live alone and only my family, significant other, and best friend know where I live. When I informed the management at the front office, one of staff cut me off, immediately got defensive, and told me "Don't open the door and call the police." and recommended that I use my alarm system. My alarm inside is not going to stop someone from trying to open my door!!! The maintenance staff are very nice people and I feel bad complaining about them, but man do they half-ass their work. My closet rod fell because the plastic holder broke. They simply rotated the broken plastic holder and awkwardly screwed the rod into the plastic. The middle support was bent and they didn't even bother to replace it. The drawer in my bathroom broke, so they just bent the metal guide back and the drawer went back in crooked. When the dishwasher was replaced, I was told by one of the maintenance staff that everything in my apartment was over 10 years old, then they screwed it into the particle board countertop and the screws fell out within a few days. Also, the handle in the shower kept slipping and I was getting burnt with hot water. So they fixed it by over-tightening it and every time I turned on my shower, I had to give it a solid hit to get it to turn on and I had to tighten it as much as I could to turn it off and not have it pour out a constant stream of water... it would just constantly drip instead. Oh, and I had a package "lost" one time too. It was just a flat envelope that they misplaced and put under a box and found it later. :/ When I moved out, the final bill was sent to me via email. They never wrote my name in the email, just "Hello,". Thanks for making me feel like a valued resident after living there for two years! All of the last fees were hard to figure out, back dated trash, extermination, and water fees that didn't make much sense but I was too over this place to even bother to argue. Oh and I got to pay a "prorated" fee of $157 for replacing the carpet because it was over 5 years old! If you don't mind poor service and lots of fees and price increases, the location is GREAT and that is about the best that I can say about this place.
