Kenzo's new location on Dundas has been receiving much press lately as Toronto foodies are catching up on the ramen craze. What a better to while away the fall (and winter) cold with a nice big bowl of noodle soup.
My first attempt at going to Kenzo was unsuccessful since it was a quick lunchtime run and the long queue outside the door was a discouragement for my hour break. Second and third times there met with much better luck.
The ramen is delicious with just enough bite. The broth is suitably salty, and the toppings fresh and cleanly presented.
I also had a side of gyoza which were outstanding. They were some the fattest, juiciest, meatiest gyoza i have had in a long time. Slightly crispy on the bottom, not greasy at all with the filling tasty of leeks and pork. YUM!!!
I didn't have as horrible service as it seems most of reviewers here had. It was quick and efficient if not overly friendly. (Nothing beyond expectations for a noodle house, really)
