I always pass by Verona's when I grab my daily morning steeped tea from Tim Horton's. The thing about working downtown is that there isn't all that much to eat even though one would think there are tons of eats around. Well, there is only so much to eat that you want to eat but I decided to give Verona's a try. Looking at their Lasagna it looked delicious and I've heard from co-workers that they have really enjoyed it.
What they really enjoyed though is the pizza. I had to try it myself so of course during the lunch hour I lined up just like everyone else.
Patiently waiting, moving slowly along, I was greeted by a server who had a big smile on her face and politely asked what I would like to order. Looking back and forth at that many different combination of toppings I ended up going with what I felt most comfortable eating. So I chose the Pepperoni pizza and man was I ever glad to have made that choice.
The pizza is thick, lots of flavor, the bottom of the slices weren't soggy and the crust tasted good as well - I grabbed two slices, ate it with a fork and knife and you know what? It was like eating a whole meal. I was so full after eating the two slices I could hardly move but that's just the size of my stomach and to each their own.
I'd definitely come back here during lunch whenever I have a craving for pizza!
