  • Visited Utopia on a Saturday morning for Brunch. We ordered Americanos to start, which were delicious. Also ordered a Oyako poutine, and Utopia Breakfast with scrambled eggs. That's where the good stuff ends. For some odd reason, they only offer scrambled or poached eggs. The poached eggs looked like little hockey pucks, cooked in the form of a ladle... From where we were sitting by the bar, we had a view of their kitchenette and a roach strutting its stuff on the tile floor. We notified the waitress who stared at the critter and in her hesitation, let it scurry under the stove. We saw her tell the chef, who said "it is what it is". I honestly don't know why I continued to wait for my food after that. Appetite was completely ruined. The food is okay, but not THAT good that I can overlook a roach in the middle of the restaurant. I mean, come on, they have traps for these.
