Stumbled over this place on the weekend, it's a new Chachago location uptown. For those who don't know it's a franchise from Taiwan, their drinks are known to use real fresh fruit.
Grapefruit green tea ($6.20)
I like the idea how they actually use real fruit juice. You can clearly taste the real grapefruit juice mixed with green tea, so when you ask for no sugar the drink is actually not sweet at all. Only downside is the price is steep. I get it's freshly squeezed juice but at that price I could just buy a jug at the supermarket.
Icecream chocolate ($5.60)
There's actually a chunk of ice cream in here, with the ice cream melting it tastes like creamy thick chocolate milk. Tasty, and not too sweet so that's good. Perfect for chocolate lovers.
Originally wanted to try their golden bubble waffle (with condensed milk) but they didn't have it today so settled with the Oreo bubble waffle ($4.90)
This was mediocre, the waffle was more on the sweeter end but nice and crispy. Tasted nothing special but a waffle with Oreo crumbs, not quite worth the price.
Probably cause it's their soft opening so they seemed very green on what making things, like the drinks took a while to make and they didn't have a lot of the bubble waffle flavors.
Bubble tea prices here are more expensive, makes you feel Alley is actually not that expensive anymore lol.
Their grand opening is on March 12 so hopefully the staff will pick things up quicker. They have a grand opening special if you buy one of their 5 special drinks, you get a free original bubble milk tea.
