  • Mmm, savory baked pies... Hands down one of the main attractions at the Calgary Farmers market (although frozen pies now available at Calgary Co-op) for me. I used to buy Simple Simon's pies from his old booth at the Blackfoot Farmer's Market back in tha day. My favorites are: French Canadian Tortiere, Mushroom, Chicken & Swiss, SHEPHERD'S PIE & the strawberry dessert pie. Sooo yummy! ** I am somewhat concerned about the ingredients as mentioned by another yelper and I will have to check into it for myself.
