| - I joined this gym for the treadmill and the yoga classes- you can't beat what's included for the price of membership. Unfortunately, when I signed up, it was communicated to me that yoga was earlier in the evening than it really is. I know they can't accommodate everyone, but having yoga ONLY be at 7 o'clock on the weeknights (with a Saturday at 10), it doesn't fit my schedule. I'm off work by two and in the gym by three, workout over by 4:30/5. I don't want to wait around for two hours or have to go home and come back to enjoy the classes. Staff are great, and when I called in to talk about alternative times, I was informed that 7 was the only time that worked for the instructor. Okay, but what about the members or patrons paying for services? Seems a little unreasonable to not even have ONE class earlier than that during the week. Maybe bring in a freelance instructor? The classes at 5p ARE PACKED, so you know there's an audience for it. I don't know, but I'm in bed by 8 so there's no way I can enjoy the yoga classes- something that would be extremely beneficial as I am training for a marathon.
Yes, I've tried their Barre class, and while that's great, it's not the type of 'workout' I'm looking for to provide adequate stretching and balance that yoga offers. I should have opted for the 3 month membership vs. the year because now I'm going to have to pay elsewhere to enjoy what I was told I could (at more convenient times) when I signed up.
Kinda feels like a bait a switch, but whatever, I'll just stick to the treadmill.
