| - Wow this place has some amazinggg ice cream. As good as it gets! It's in a great location, with both mall and street entrances. The interior is very casual, fun, and inviting. They got a nice train running around in circles above your head haha.
Anyways. When you walk up to the counter, you're faced with these immense boards with scores of flavors. The flavors tend to be more "traditional," at least more so than nearby Sweetie Fry's, but Mitchell's has definitely perfected them. Taste test all you want; you can also just get smaller scoops of two flavors (which is DEFINITELY enough... I eat a lot too.)
+ Toasted Pistachio. Better than any pistachio I've ever had. A beautiful golden color with a mild green tint... definitely not an artificial green color like so many other places'. Smooth, nutty, satisfying. GET IT.
+ Christmas Ale Gingersnap. This was a seasonal flavor, which includes the annual Christmas Ale brew from the local Great Lakes Brewery. Oh wow. So good also... The ale and the gingersnap... mmm. I can't begin to describe it. GET IT.
Welp, those were my two flavors and I HIGHLY recommend both. The next day I already began raving about Mitchell's and recommending people in the area to go there. I also tried their Key Lime flavor, but I didn't really like it... but I think that's just because I don't like key lime as an ice cream flavor in the first place.
I wish we had this kind of ice cream back home; if you're in Cleveland, you're SO LUCKY to have so many amazing ice cream joints!!!
