| - First impression is everything,and in this case, we were not impressed. At arrival 01/27 although the front desk person was not rude and He was friendly and polite, his service was impersonal. He was filling out some reports/ forms, and seem that He was rushing in through check in. He did not even provided the breakfast vouchers which is a con at this place
Second, Breakfast, my reservation included breakfast, but this place does not have buffet breakfast. When you book a room with breakfast they provide you with a voucher to redeem at their in house Starbucks with limited choice. Unlike Fairfield inn next door, they have a buffet breakfast. Also such a waste of time since only one person has to take care of all guests. Need to wait for your food and wait in line to order. Waste of time!!!!!! To me this is enough not to book a room here again
READ the fine print of your reservation. Deceiving , I do not know if booking or hotel is more at fault
The room is not very spacious, but OK size to be comfortable. It has this modern trendy look, but at same time, I guess the one piece, desk,tv table, dresser. It Makes it look like an IKEA room.
A comfortable bed, is so important for me in a hotel room and this place did not deliver. The bed was so hard, I did not have a good night sleep
Bathroom was ok a shower, no bathtub, sink area was spacious enough for all toiletries, and personal items needed when you travel. The one issue with the bathroom, although everything was clean, the floor had dust like it was not swept. I do not know if maintenance, came in after cleaning and fix something and left dust on the floor
Other areas of the hotel like lobby area, hallways, seem clean and in good condition
This hotel is right next door to the Fairfield inn and suites at the chandler fashion center. It seems they are like built at same time. I have stayed there as well. Both same Marriot family, rooms and amenities seem similar. Courtyard may have slightly bigger rooms, but to me, Fairfield has much better customer service. It seems more warmth and friendlier. Bed is much more comfortable. It includes buffet breakfast and it is very decent buffet
Finally check out was a problem. Only one gentleman
You can see It has more stars than Courtyard now I know why
