  • Don't be taken advantage of. Always read your explanation of benefits from your insurance especially if this doctor is in network. The office didn't get prior approval from our insurance for a charge and our insurance said do not bill the patient but they did. Per the office manager the doctor says bill patients when the insurance denies and the patients pay as she was trying to convince my husband he had to pay. My insurance called the office manager and told her they can't balance bill us because they have a contract with them. She tried to argue and blame the insurance website for the information changing. They can't bill patients because they didn't check if authorization was needed. Read your mail from your insurance so you do not get taken advantage of.
