Getting to expensive for what they offer. Roughly $200 for one person and one kid.. LVAC is $175 for the year? Things went down hill with new management. Yogies beware. The studio is dry heat and absorbs all the moisture from the body. Many members have requested humidity be added like at the newer gym's,the set up is possible. C the GM advised me yoga was created in the Middle East and dry heat was common and he researched that there was no difference so they are not changing it. Im not an expert but all the yoga instructors I have spoken with advise hot yoga should have a humid environment as not to dehydrate the muscles and body. This is the Summerlin location. The Henderson location is new and has humidity. Great Studio.
Recent corrections to the pool were charged to members per a rate increase email in approx nov.. The pool was a problem since the gym opened and did not really need resurfaced. It was likdug up to correct design flaws. Old equipment is shipped to lower tier gyms and they new equipment is sent to the platinum. Not really necessary every year. But you can expect a $10 increase in dues every year.
Their training staff is mostly knowledgeable but new management in that arena is lacking managerial aptitude and customer service.
A new contract with Wynn allows employees to join for less than $80. Many of the new additions are nice but there has been an increase in non friendly and hostile members that block equipment.
The day care is amazing and Anita does a wonderful job.
If you ever have a concern like the lack of wi-fi internet which they have been addressing for over a year it will fall on deaf ears. Many excuses and they say it's an amenity. It's part of what's offered in the contract.
I recently decided this gym is mostly worried about profits first. I have been here for years. When Brian was the GM then Managwr the members came first which resulted in profits.
So I am moving on and just wanted to give what I feel is a fair assessment of Pros and Cons for new members.
The base price which for one person without a child is about $150. Private Pilates is over $100 per session and group over $30 per session. Regular trainers are between approximately $80
And $115. This may be more reasonable
If the membership dues were not so expensive.
Also the cleanliness of the gym has worsened since Brian has left. The ventilation is constantly spewing allergies and Pollen which is most notable above the cardio equipment. I have attached a photo of one of the intake vents that I had to point out to management to clean. This particular vent was about the stretching floor. It was the same as in the photo for a long time.
If they reduce the fees and change the management to a more staff and member friendly environment I would have given a much higher rating.
