  • Hold the press!! Kit Kat Chocolatory is closing earlier than expected. The pop up store, which was supposed to run until June 28th will be closing its doors at the end of this week, June 22nd, due to low inventory. However, Kit Kat recommends to go to the store before this Friday as their products are selling out fast. So if you had plans to go this weekend, change your plans promptly and go this week before it's all gone! I went on a Sunday but alas, the ones that I really wanted and the main reason why I wanted to go there in the 1st place: the Ruby Red and the Rose Hisbuccus were completely sold out early on and there were no plans to bring it back. I am not sure how is that even possible as one of their marketing focus on this special pop up store was to promote their new Ruby Red Chocolate Bar. There was no limit put in place at the beginning so people were able to buy more than 1. It's no wonder it sold out so fast What I would give to simply try 1 tiny piece of the Ruby Red. Anyone wanna spare some? As for the customization of your own Kit Kat Bar, I waited 90 mins but one of my favourite ingredient: the roasted pistachios, ran out for days. There was also a limit imposed of 1 bar per person but it wasn't always the case. I heard that some people were able to make more than 1 customised bars on certain days. Other than taking close to a minute to customize your bar on only 1 of the 3 machines provided, there was no hands on approach to make your own bar. Unless you were a blogger or the media, there was no opportunity to put the ingredients in the mold yourself. At $17 a customized bar, it pretty much is a novelty thing I don't regret going as it was an unique experience but for $17, I think most of us expected so much more. If you have no patience to line up for a customized bar, you can simply go in without lining up to buy the special limited edition flavours that vary each week, but yet again, Kit Kat has now imposed a 1 flavour per person - kind of disappointed when you want to buy more than 1 box for your own consumption #KITKATCHOCOLATORY #KitKatCanada #tofoodies#torontofood#igerstoronto#gta#toronto#kitkat
