  • This is my favorite breakfast place in Madison, hands down, and ranks as one of my favorite breakfast places of all time in fact. 2 words: Biscuits, and gravy. They are simply the best in town. The standard order of biscuits and gravy come with 3 homemade, buttery, flaky biscuits topped with a rich, creamy, thick, luxurious, perfectly seasoned, meaty sausage gravy. And I mean meaty, there are endless chunks of sausage in the gravy, and it really elevates it from embellishment to meat lover's paradise. This is easily a full meal by itself for ~ $7. You can add extras as well, but I'll admit the extras here are a little pricey [if you want the full monty without paying a whole lot more, get the biscuits and gravy as takeout, bring it home as a blank canvas, and go nuts with the eggs, bacon, etc.]. Other food items include french toast and sandwiches. My friend has raved about the Cuban, and actually bought it twice in a row his first two times here. And don't forget, this place is a bakery as well, so don't forget to look at their case of fresh baked pastries by the register, as well as the Moreos and cookies on top!!
