| - 8/24: UPDATE: My credit card was charged twice for this room. An easy mistake to make due to the way I booked my room. A quick phone call to the hotel was all it took to get the error corrected and my account was credited within about 24 hours. Thank you again Hampton Inn! Now if only the airlines I flew on for this trip could have been so customer-focused!
This hotel was a life-saver! I missed a connection in Toronto and of course there was a convention going on. I had been travelling for 24 hours at that point and was barely hanging on to my sanity. Because of the convention many hotels were booked and so I just started calling every hotel in town and this Hampton Inn was sixth on the list.
I really feel that I got lucky. Aimee was working the desk that night and when I called from the airport she grabbed one of the last rooms available for me and sent the hotel's airport shuttle right over. It is literally about a 2 minute ride in the shuttle from the Toronto airport. When I arrived, check-in took less then 5 minutes and in my room, the bed was turned down, a light was on and the pillows were fluffed.
I was in the room for about 6 hours while I slept a little before the flight, so I did not make use of many of the amenities available: internet access, two-line telephone, business center, fitness center, etc. The property is exactly as described and my room was immaculately clean. At US$126.00 ($139.00 Canadian) it was reasonable, comfortable, convenient and the night desk attendants were a pleasure to deal with. All in all, a great value and a hotel I would happily stay with again.
