| - I'm torn on how to review the store. I'm picking middle of the road simply because there was little order to the collection there, with titles in the wrong section, wrong letter altogether, and artists are for the most part by last name, while the name of the band goes by the first word (I don't prefer it this way, and it seems like the place just needs a going through to get in better order).
For some time, it seemed my visit would be a bust, until I kept on trucking and found some Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson on the floor, along with a Johnny Cash America selection I'd never seen anywhere. Wound up with a few Rolling Stones albums I hadn't seen either, 3 Bonnie Raitt Albums (hey, I just decided recently to give her a try, and it turns out I like her style and sound) for $1 a piece, and a Pretenders album I can't wait to play. About 15 albums, out the door for $51.
Tons of junk, and every bin is overstuffed, so making it through the stash is more laborious than it should be; you wind up tired of making the effort and give up.
This, like Rasputin Music in the Bay Area, seems better suited to get you used DVD's, CD's, Blu-rays, and books, and the vinyl is just there in the back and whatever happens happens. Supposedly Zia is a chain with 8 locations, some in AZ (I handle all the SW, so I will be on the lookout, particularly since some of the other locations are reportedly larger).
