TLDR: You're probably better off going to best buy across the street than this verizon store because employees at the verizon store apparently live off commission so they will gear you towards options that will give them a bigger paycheck. Not okay when customers like us are in an emergency.
I wish I could give them 0 star, but one will have to suffice. The day before I was supposed to fly back to Boston, my bf's phone broke and we didn't know why. We decided to come to this Verizon store, since it was the closest one from the Strip. Who knew that we would walk out of there super angry with the customer service and with no phone (we wanted a new phone because my bf had to take care of urgent business).
We approached one of the employees and he diagnosed the problem saying that it was due to water damage. Okay cool. He gave us three options (alright, I like options), but those were not helpful options because in the end WE JUST WANT A NEW PHONE. 2/3 of the three options required us to go to a different store/kiosk (non-verizon) to have people diagnose the phone and fix the phone. HELLO?! We already diagnosed the freakin' problem and HELLO AGAIN?! WE JUST WANT A NEW PHONE SO WHY ARE YOU GIVING US OPTIONS THAT WE DON'T WANT. The third option was that my bf pays off the remaining balance from the payment plan and get a new phone. Okay no problem. But my bf was not authorized to make any changes to the account because it was his parents. So he said that he needs to call his mother and have her send us the code that will be texted to her, but she was at work so that didn't work out. What angered me was that he said that my bf could not get AUTHORIZATION whatsoever (I found that to be weird because t-mobile allows anybody in the account to get authorization as long as the main person in charge of the account grants them access). I understand there are procedures to follow and whatnot, but I dont think that the employee tried his best to help and whatnot because he kept suggesting that we go to another place/store for help.
We went to the best buy afterwards just to browse at miscellaneous things, and we came across an employee who was super helpful with phones and said that my bf could get authorization to his parents account to switch phones. On top of that, best buy offered better deals ($100 gift card and the virtual reality Oculus) when you purchase a phone there with or without payment plan.
