| rev:text | Just returned from a mother/daughter trip to Las Vegas and my daughter and I stayed 3 nights at the beautiful and classy Caesars. Check-in was a bit slow. We were instructed to used the self-check-in kiosk, but still ended up having to get in line to get our keys and it didn't seem like they had enough staff to service the number of people checking in. Our service rep was very nice though and ended up giving us a complimentary upgrade to the newest tower, Octavius, since we were there to celebrate my daughter turning 21. It's a bit of a trek to that tower, but worth it. The room was spacious (2 queen beds), with a sitting area with a sofa, chair & coffee table and a nice large bathroom with a jacuzzi tub, separate shower & double sinks. Our room had floor to ceiling windows and we had a great view (to the left) of the strip and the Bellagio fountains. We could watch the fountain show right from our room! Downsides to the room were no refrigerator (except for the mini bar but we were told from the get-go that if you remove anything, even if you replace it, you'll be charged for it. There was no extra space to store our own water bottles, food, etc) and a Keurig coffeemaker that did not have complimentary k-cups. The mini bar had them....for $14!! Makes you feel a little nickel and dimed when you don't even get complimentary coffee. Upon leaving, I received an email welcoming me to use online check-out, but when I viewed my receipt I found that I had been overcharged for my room. Luckily I had my email confirmation showing the rate that I had been given and they adjusted it without a hassle.
All in all though, I give Caesars 4 stars because of the quality & cleanliness of the rooms. We've stayed here a few times and have never been disappoointed. Our friends stayed across the way at The Flamingo and had to deal with numerous issues...an overflowing toilet, a light that didn't work, uncomfortable beds, etc. My daughter and I felt pretty spoiled after hearing about their nightmare of a room! |
