Ok team here it is. Showed up with a pre approval letter from Capital One. I learned the hard way that they do not work. Spent 8 hours there first day I was the last person to walk out with a jeep Cherokee that evening. Next day I get a call from finance saying that I received a better interest rate that I needed to go reading docs. Sure! Was there to sign. A week later I get an email from finance stating that I needed bank statements, I was out of town on business and advised team there that I was out of town working but that I would get them that information when I got back in town. When I got back from out of town, I sent them docs, checked my mail and noticed they sent me a letter rescinding the contract and that if I didn't return the car they would take legal action.
I respected their decision and emailed them all day Saturday to make arrangements to return their car with lack of response. I emailed them the next working day that I would like to return the car with poor response or none. I decided to show up and I was made to feel as though it was my fault that they couldn't approve me even after I went in to resign for a better interest rate.
I asked for trade in back gave them their car back and now I am late on my trade in payment.
I believe a quick fix to that dealer would be to BE honest and Candid with their prospective customers up front.
Good luck to them. They do have great sales people and I want to give a shout out to Kristyl. She deserves a better role in that organization.
