| - "Potatoes and stew!! Guiness, Jameson, and did I mention potatoes?!" Haha. We all love Irish culture, don't we? I mean I remember the green fellow who used to make me chase after rainbows looking for a pot of gold wgen I was a kid. Seriously, I ran like the wind.
Enough intro though. Ri Ra is a great place for everything. I first went there with my formwe boss and mentor for lunch. I didn't think I'd like it because I always walked passed it thinking it's more of a drinking, pub kind of a place. Oh, boy was I wrong. Everything was so good. The second time I went was for a friend's birthday party. She was a Cullen. So where else would we go right? And that experience confirmed my assumption that it's a good place to party.
Now, last Saturday, I found out that it's a great place for a date with the significant other, too. She loved it. I mean, happy wife, hapoy life, right? She was born in Europe so anything that Europe-like will imoress her. The fact that it's laid back type of place (and not the snobby places I usually like) also made her like it. But hey, we go there to eat and drink, right? Well, they hit it right out of the park with her basic beef burger, my NC grass fed beef stew with Guiness, the fries, and of course, beer!
We chose the dessert wasn't exactly her style because she likes soft, creamy browines but theirs was a bit dry. Maybe it's an Irish thing. But hey I eat anything (except apples). Oh, the rye bread!! How did I leave this till the end. We thought it was one of the best we had. And the butter that comes with it were real Irish. So good job all around impressing us. Thanks.
