| - You will leave feeling blue and a little green. The overpriced appetizer, the Tandoori Platter, consisted of two bite sized shrimp, two bite sized chunks of chicken and two bite sized pieces of, "lamb." At 2.17 per bite, this was SO not worth it. The prawns were rubbery and fishy. We could not even cut them with the edge of our forks, that's how rubbery they were.
The chicken was dry and flavorless, I left about $1 worth on the plate and the lamb was undetectable as lamb, tasting more like overboiled beef. None of the delicious fatty, gamey lamb flavor. No salt or pepper on the tables either so, could not help it with seasoning.
The entrèes we ordered were Lamb curry and Chicken Tikka Masala. Two soup bowls were brought to the table and a dish of rice. Again, my lamb very well could have been flavorless beef, there was no way to discern that it was actually lamb. The sauce had a slight hint of coconut but, not much. The chicken, likewise, was dry but, at least the sauce was a little better. The naan had a good texture but, some portions had a fishy taste that had me worried the were handled incorrectly after handling seafood.
To their credit, the fried bananas and ice cream was tasty and actually edible as was the Perrier. However, we were up for hours with nausea and stomach cramps. My guess is those fishy prawns and the fishy naan.
Save your money, find a recipe on the internet, and buy fresh ingredients to cook sanitary food at home. What a shame this restaurant has such inflated prices and inflated ratings, so many people will be disappointed.
