This hospital is close to my grandma's house so we had no choice but to take her here since it was an emergency. We arrived about 9:30 at night and waited in the lobby. There were stains on the arm rests so we had to wipe it down with some disinfectant wipes. We were across from a poor crying toddler and we knew he was uncomfortable. He and his mom must have been there a while and no one from the check in window came out to reassure the mom that they are doing their best to find him a room.
We were told that my grandma would be in a room within 20 mins. Waited for 45 mins and I had to go up and ask and remind them we have been waiting. Finally got in. The doc seemed to think he knew more about my grandma's symptoms and interrupted us every time we explained her symptoms . He didn't want to hear anything. We couldn't find the nurse that was assigned to us yet, there were 5 to 6 nurses at the station just shooting the s***. The tech guy who drew the blood talked about weird stuff and when a patient was screaming, he made a smart a** comment that I won't repeat.
The night staff lacked the quality of care and service. They were arrogant and dismissive. The only reason why I'm giving them 2 stars is because, the daytime nurse and doc that my grandma had was excellent. They listened and helped us understand the discharge summary and meds. Very disappointed with the night crew. Most of your patients are seniors and they should not be made fun of or talked down to. That also goes for the families that are there. Show some respect and compassion with your patients.
