  • Pretty good, overall. Clean facilities, very attentive and friendly staff. I got the basic pedicure and gel polish manicure. $62 without tip. I have worked at an extremely high end spa in a "big city", with nail technicians who were voted as Allure Magazines top nail technicians in California, so I know I have really high standards. I have yet to find anyone or anywhere that compared to their work and professionalism. My nails look pretty good, but not perfect. Diamond nails is your typical Vietnamese nail salon, with uncomfortable "spa" chairs that have the bowls attached. Pedicure was decent. My calluses (very small/minor) were not really addressed. I have one particular nail that is thick and usually is filed down so it's not so thick, and I recently broke it so it was cracked. The nail tech didn't even offer to fix the nail prior to polishing, so now it's looks really lumpy, thick, and gross. It's fall and I won't be wearing open toed shoes, so I really don't care too much. Manicure was okay too. I had OPI gel polish done. My nails were filed and cuticles were cleaned. Polish looks good, but my complaing is that OPI polish is supposed to be cured with an LED light, not UV. That's why I choose OPI, is so that my hands are not exposed to direct UV light (which has been found to lead to melanoma in the hands.) I have two general complaints, which seem to be par for the course in Las Vegas nail salons. First: Employees should NEVER speak any language but English on the floor (unless speaking directly to a customer), when in front of guests. There's a reason Seinfeld made an entire episode addressing this. From a customer's perspective, you always wonder in the back of your head, "Are they talking badly about me? Why can't they just speak English in front of me?" They all speak English, and they shouldn't be talking to one another during a service anyway; I'm paying for your time and attention, and I expect to get it. Second: Learn how to polish nails properly, so that you don't have to go back with a thick brush dipped in remover to clean up around the cuticle and side nail bed. My biggest pet peeve when getting my nails polished is when the polish isn't down to my cuticle or all the way along the sides of the nail. They polish the nail a little sloppily (I'm sure to get it done faster) and then come back before curing to clean up the "screw ups". If you polished it properly the first time, you wouldn't have to do that, and I would have polish on my entire nail. I'm just glad I picked a sparkle, and not a dark color. If it had been a dark color, I would not have left with them looking like this. I will definitely try Diamond Nails again, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.
