The family and I decided on a quick trip to Madison to check out the Capitol building and the Children's Museum. We wanted to grab a bite and decided on Brocach. We were delighted to see it wasn't crowded as we have a daughter on the Autism spectrum and is adverse to extremely loud places. We figured that the timing may have had something to do with is since we got there about 2pm.
The service was ok. Our waitress was really friendly but didn't really understand the menu it seemed. When I asked how many sausages you get as a side, she didn't know. When we asked about the fruit, she said you get strawberries but they didn't have any. I can see some of these being honest mistakes but I would also expect the wait staff to have a good handle on the menu.
The food was not anything we would go back for. My wife said the blood sausage was disgusting and the banger I had was weird... maybe that's just the style? She felt a little ill after eating as well... we won't blame it on the food but...
The highlight of the day was probably the pint of Guinness my wife had.
We would not be coming back here and cannot recommend anyone else go either. There are a ton of restaurants in the area and hopefully what we experienced was the norm for the restaurants near the Capitol.
